Allergy Free Sushi

I had all but forgotten about Sushi until last evening when our carb-loving food allergic soon to be teenager asked, “Mom, can we have sushi tonight?” Answer? Absolutely! “Do we have all the stuff?” Subtext: are you going to make it the way I like it? “Of course!” I answered.

So what IS sushi when one can’t have wheat, gluten, soy, any fish except tuna?

Allergy Free Vans Warped Tour 2010

My husband and I attended the Vans Warped Tour 2010 last weekend at the Nassau Coliseum Parking Lot along with our daughter, 13, and 3 of her friends. We saw 70 bands on 7 stages during 8 hours.It was not Allergy Free. Quite frankly it was allergy unfriendly. With choices like hot dogs, french fries, potato chips, pizza and nuts, what is to like?

Allergy Free July 4th Weekend Tips

I’ll start off by saying how thankful I am that this weekend looks to be a beautiful one here on the East Coast! No rain, clear skies, and low humidity. So I hope this post finds you with your car packed with allergy-free food, (2) or more epi-pens or twininjects, benadryl, albuterol (if you need it) and are ready for a great weekend!
